Prof. Dr. phil. Saskia Eschenbacher, B.A., seit Oktober 2019 Gastprofessorin am Teachers College der Columbia University in New York City (USA), arbeitet seit vielen Jahren als Systemische Einzel-, Paar- u. Familientherapeutin, Beraterin und Supervisorin in freier Praxis und als Dozentin und Trainerin im In- und Ausland (u.a. Bosch, DVV International in Osteuropa). Im Rahmen ihrer Forschung und internationalen Vortragstätigkeit (u.a. Columbia University, NYU) widmet Sie sich der Frage nach tiefgreifenden Veränderungs- und Transformationsprozessen.

Sie studierte Erziehungswissenschaft (B.A.) an der Universität Augsburg, wo sie als Jahrgangsbeste mit einer Arbeit zu Systemischem Denken in der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung ihr Studium abschloss. Im Fast-Track promovierte sie an der Philosophisch-Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Augsburg zur Theorie Transformativen Lernens und arbeitete dort zeitgleich am Lehrstuhl für Pädagogik mit Schwerpunkt Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung und wurde durch die Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung im Rahmen ihrer Promotion gefördert. Im Anschluss daran arbeitete sie an der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, ebenfalls im Bereich Erwachsenenbildung und absolvierte vor und nach ihrer Promotion mehrere Forschungsaufenthalte in den USA (u.a. Columbia University, NYU).

Als Systemische Therapeutin, Beraterin und Supervisorin verfügt sie über Weiterbildungen im Bereich Trauma und Dissoziation (Huber), Systemische Sexualtherapie (IGST) und aktuell Klinische Hypnotherapie (MEG) und arbeitet als Gastdozentin für die Internationale Gesellschaft für Systemische Therapie (IGST). Sie wurde 2022 als Immunity to Change™ Facilitator*in von Prof. Robert Kegan und Prof. Lisa Lahey (beide Harvard University) ausgebildet.
