17. Wissenschaftliches Tuberkulose-Symposium an der Akkon Hochschule für Humanwissenschaften in Berlin
Am 18. und 19. März 2025 findet an der Akkon Hochschule für Humanwissenschaften das 17. Wissenschaftliche Symposium anlässlich des Welt-Tuberkulosetags statt. Veranstaltet vom Institute for Research in International Assistance (IRIA), widmet sich das Symposium der Rolle von Tuberkulose im Kontext antimikrobieller Resistenzen (AMR) und beleuchtet aktuelle Herausforderungen und Lösungsansätze.
Internationale Expert*innen aus Wissenschaft, Politik, Gesundheitswesen und Nichtregierungsorganisationen diskutieren über neueste Entwicklungen in der TB-Forschung, Diagnostik, Therapie und Prävention. Neben Fachvorträgen und Paneldiskussionen bietet die Veranstaltung eine Plattform für den interdisziplinären Austausch zur Bekämpfung multiresistenter Tuberkulose (MDR/XDR-TB).
Das Symposium wird hybrid abgehalten – vor Ort in den Seminarräumen der Akkon Hochschule sowie online via Zoom. Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei, eine Anmeldung ist erforderlich.

17th Scientific Tuberculosis Symposium at Akkon University
On March 18–19, 2025, Akkon University of Human Sciences will host the 17th Scientific Symposium on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day. Organized by the Institute for Research in International Assistance (IRIA), the symposium will focus on the role of tuberculosis in the context of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and explore current challenges and solutions.
International experts from academia, politics, healthcare, and NGOs will discuss the latest developments in TB research, diagnostics, treatment, and prevention. In addition to keynote lectures and panel discussions, the event will serve as a platform for interdisciplinary exchange on tackling multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR/XDR-TB).
The symposium will be held in a hybrid format – on-site at Akkon University and online via Zoom. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
